BURNSVILLE, MINN. - The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference announced Dawson RIngler as the Men's Golfer of the Week in a release today.
Dawson Ringler posted his best placing in a tournament as a USF Cougar this week and was rewarded for it with his first NSIC Men's Golfer of the Week honor for it. At the Tulsa Cup, Ringler exited the first day tied for the lead before dropping back to 3
rd at the end of the 54-hole outing. The freshman's previous highest placing was 6
th at last week's USF Invitational. Dawson carded rounds of 70, 76, and 74 to close at a 4-over 220 that was just 4 strokes from the lead.
Mason Weeks was previously the only Cougar to earn the honor this year. Now with USF having two Golfers of the Week they join Concordia St. Paul, Winona State, and Augustana as the only programs to receive two such honors this season. No programs outside those four earned the honor this fall.
