Rolla, MO. - The University of Sioux Falls Baseball team picked up another win today. They defeated Missouri S&T 11-0 behind a dominant performance from Owen Weadge.

Owen Weadge got the start for USF on the mound today and threw a gem. He threw a complete game and did not give up a run. He recorded 8 strikeouts and only allowed 1 walk and 1 hit. He induced 11 flyball outs and 5 ground ball outs through his 27 batters faced.  He picked up the win to improve to 1-1 on the year. 

USF struggled to get going early on offense. They scored 1 run in the first inning and were held in check for most of the rest of the game but erupted for 2 4-run innings in the 7th and 8th innings to win the game. The Cougars were led at the plate by Brady Klehr who went 2-3 with a walk and 2 RBI while also scoring 2 runs. Ben Serie also had a nice day at the plate going 2-4 with 2 RBI. Dane Small was the 3rd Cougar to have 2 hits as he went 2-4 with 1 RBI, a walk, and 2 runs scored. David Swanson, Noah Christenson, Isaac Bonner, Ryan Gouldin, Mitch Iliff, and Nolan Drossel all had 1 hit on the day. Gouldin's hit was a homerun in the 8th inning and both Swanson and Bonner had doubles for their lone hit of the day.

The Cougars are back in action on Friday March 8 in Auburndale, Fla. They will be taking on Minnesota Crookston in a series starting with a single game Friday night at 6pm followed by a doubleheader on Saturday March 9 starting at 3:45pm and then finishing up with another single game on Sunday March 10 starting at 7pm.
