Box Score Melbourne, FL. - The University of Sioux Falls Baseball team picked up a win tonight against Florida Tech. The Cougars beat the Panthers 7-5 in their last game in Florida.
Jake Pruchniak got the start on the mound for USF and went 4.0 innings. He gave up 6 hits and 3 earned runs while also picking up 4 strikeouts. The Cougar Bullpen came in and allowed 2 runs to help USF get the victory. Reed Barnard went 1.0 innings and Jake Brandner went 1.1 innings and each gave up 1 run. Derek Lundgren threw 0.2 innings and Zachary Shastay went 1.0 innings and neither gave up a run. Logan Anderson came on in the 9th and picked up his 3rd save of the year.
At the plate, USF used multi-run innings in the 1st, 4th, and 5th innings to get to 7 runs. David Swanson, Brady Klehr, Noah Christenson, and Ryan Gouldin each picked up 2 hits on the day. Swanson and Klehr both had 2 RBI to lead USF. Gouldin scored 2 runs to lead the Cougars. Overall, USF had 6 RBI on 7 runs scored, 10 hits, 5 walks, 9 strikeouts, and 9 left on base.

The Cougars are back in action on Saturday. They will be at home to take on Minnesota Duluth in a doubleheader. The first of two games will start at 1:30PM with the second game to follow at approximately 3:30PM. All USF Baseball home games are played at Sioux Falls Stadium.
