BLUE SPRINGS, MO – After the first day of the NSIC Championship, the USF Men's Golf team holds 5
th place. Weeks and Kray tie for 10th place.
The Cougars closed day one at 18-over par with a total 306.
Mason Weeks and
Jack Kray led the Cougars as each scored 2-over par and tied for 10
th place.
The Coo are 6 strokes from 4
th and 7 from 3
rd with 2 days left in the tournament.
USF individual results:

Mason Weeks tied for 10
th with a 74 and 2-over par day. He sank par shots on every hole in round one except for hole 8, giving him 17 pars for day 1.

Gavin Metz tied for 32
nd after a 79 score left him 7-over par. Metz made par on 10 holes and added in a birdie on hole 9.

Jimmy Clark tied for 39
th with a 9-over, 81 performance. He collected 8 pars and a birdie on the day.

Jack Kray tied for 10
th with a 2-over 74. He birdied 16 of the holes on the first day.

Devon Verhasselt tied for 32
nd on a 79 score as he went 7 over par. 9 pars and a birdie on hole 10 rounded out his day.
The Cougars will tee off in the morning for the second of three rounds this weekend.
