Sioux Falls Volleyball Sweeps Final Non-Conference Weekend

SPEARFISH, S.D. - Sioux Falls Volleyball completes the weekend sweep with wins over South Dakota Mines and Black Hills State today. 

MATCH ONE DETAILS 

Final Score: USF 3, SDSM&T 2 (28-26, 25-22, 16-25, 17-25, 16-14) 

Team Records: USF 4-3, SDSM&T 3-4 

Attendance: 138 

MATCH TWO DETAILS 

Final Score: USF 3, BHSU 0 (25-21, 25-14, 25-13) 

Team Records: USF 5-3, BHSU 4-4 

Attendance: 177 

MATCH RECAPS 

USF continued their ways jumping out strong to an early 2-0 lead over the Hardrockers before struggling on their attack game in sets three and four.  

The Coo landed 64 kills throughout match one today and were led by Sadie Voss with a season high 19 kills. Jordyn Hamm tacked on 14 followed by Jordan Kuper with 11. Kuper put back four blocks for USF with Abby Haus and Hamm adding three against South Dakota Mines. 

Elise Gillen dished out 34 assists with Liz Kopp chipping in 20. Voss, Gillen and Kopp also led defensively with 17, 13 & 12 digs respectively. 

Sioux Falls closed the night cap match against Black Hills State, 3-0. 

The Coo maintained an impressive .500 attacking percentage landing 53 kills against the Yellow Jackets. 

Voss once again landed 19 kills in match two of the day with Aubrey Gates adding 11 and Haus with nine. Voss had the teams loan service ace on the night. 

Anna Ruhland put back two blocks against BHSU while Kuper and Hamm also added one of their own.  

Gillen and Kopp once again teamed up with a combined 37 assists while Kuper and Gillen recorded 10 digs apiece and Voss with eight. 

UP NEXT 

The Coo will open their NSIC conference schedule Friday, September 20 at Northern State with first serve scheduled for 6pm.
