KANSAS CITY, MO. - Cougar Volleyball opened their season on the road as they took on (RV) Washburn in the opening round of the Kansas City Classic.

Sioux Falls came out strong taking the first two sets from the Ichabod's landing 16 kills in the first set and 15 in the second.
USF struggled to get their attack game back after taking a 30-28 set two win ultimately dropping the final three sets.
Fifth year, Jordan Kuper, led the Coo with 14 kills on the night while recording an attacking percentage of .303.
Sadie Voss, added 13 kills of her own while Jordyn Hamm tacked on 11. Kuper, Voss and Hamm accounted for 38 of Sioux Falls' 57 total kills on the day.
Elise Gillen recorded 50 assists for USF while paving the way with 17 digs along with Voss.
UP NEXT
USF will head to Liberty, Missouri tomorrow to take on William Jewell at 10am followed by Emporia State at 1pm.
