Cougar Tennis Adds Ellie Zink for 2025-26 Roster

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The University of Sioux Falls Women's Tennis program is thrilled to announce the signing of Ellie Zink, a standout student-athlete from Watertown High School in Watertown, South Dakota. Ellie will join the Cougars in the fall of 2025, bringing her impressive athletic and academic accomplishments to the team.

"We are excited to welcome Ellie to our team this fall," said head coach Kevin Grebin. "Her experience, skill, and leadership qualities will be a great addition to the strength and depth of our team. We are confident she will thrive both on the court and in the classroom at the University of Sioux Falls."

Zink has been a dominant force in high school tennis, competing at the top flights in both singles and doubles. Across her career, Zink's remarkable record includes a senior season with an 18-7 record in flight 1 singles and an 18-6 record in flight 1 doubles. She has earned numerous honors, including being named team MVP, Most Improved Player, and the recipient of the Team Sportsmanship Award. Zink also led her team to an Eastern South Dakota (ESD) Conference championship and has been a six-time varsity letter winner. A leader both on and off the court, Zink served as team captain during her senior year.

Academically, Zink excels with a 3.7 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society. Ellie is the daughter of  Erika and Ryan Zink and plans to pursue a degree in psychology at USF, with aspirations of becoming a mental health therapist.

Off the court, Ellie enjoys golf, showcasing her versatility as a multi-sport athlete.
