CLERMONT, FLA. - The University of Sioux Falls Softball team picked up a dominant 9-0 win over Saint Anselm before falling in extra innings to Franklin Pierce, 8-7. The Cougars showcased strong offensive performances and solid pitching throughout the day, moving to 2-6 on the season.
GAME 1: SIOUX FALLS 9, SAINT ANSLEM 0 (6 Innings)
Behind a stellar complete-game one-hitter from Maddi Duncan, the Cougars cruised to a run-rule victory over Saint Anselm. Duncan's solid performance in the circle moved her to second in the USF record books for single game strikeouts. The Cougar's offense exploded in the later innings, highlighted by Savanna Isaacson's three-run triple and a home run to power the lineup.

GAME 2: FRANKLIN PIERCE 8, SIOUX FALLS 7 (8 Innings)
USF jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the first inning and battled throughout, but Franklin Pierce secured the walk-off win in extras. Jaeleigh Darnell delivered a strong offensive game, while Meghan Jochimsen added a sacrifice fly to push across the tying run for extra innings.
