SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Cougar Softball (17-15, 5-5 NSIC) used an explosive offensive performance to take down Bemidji State (14-18, 1-7 NSIC), earning a 13-7 victory and a 9-0 shutout win in today's conference matchup. The Cougars tallied five home runs on the day along with 22 runs on 24 hits.
GAME ONE: SIOUX FALLS 13, BEMIDJI STATE 7
USF erupted for 13 runs in game one on the day, using a four-home run performance to take down Bemidji State. Kyra Knudtson, Amber McKinney, Taryn Wagner, and Hannah Soderbeck all went deep as the Cougars rallied from an early two-run deficit for the win.

The Cougars kept their bats hot in game two with another nine runs on 12 hits led by a Morgan Linstad home run along with Meghan Jochimsen, Addison Heule and Wagner putting up multiple hits. Maddi Duncan threw for her fifth shutout of the season and her 11th complete game.
