NORTHBROOK, Ill. – Allstate and the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) today announced 207 student-athlete nominees for the inaugural Allstate NACDA Good Works Team (Spring), and
Meghan Jochimsen has earned a well-deserved spot among them. Recognized for her extraordinary volunteerism and civic engagement, Jochimsen exemplifies the program's mission to honor student-athletes who go beyond their achievements in the classroom and on the field to become future leaders in their communities.
Jochimsen's commitment to service is both deep and far-reaching. As a PEDs companion at a local hospital, she brings compassion and support to pediatric patients, offering a steady presence during their most difficult moments. Her dedication extends to volunteering at multiple sporting events, where she helps create memorable experiences for participants and spectators alike. As president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), Jochimsen has taken her leadership to new heights, organizing service events that unite her peers in meaningful community outreach. Her efforts reflect a selflessness and drive that elevate her team, her academic institution, and the broader community she serves.
The Allstate NACDA Good Works Team is designed to shine a spotlight on student-athletes like Jochimsen, whose levels of volunteerism and civic engagement set them apart as future community leaders. Now recognizing both male and female athletes across all sports and divisions, the program celebrates those whose impact extends far beyond the scoreboard—honoring their teams, schools, and the communities they uplift.
"These remarkable young men and women define what it means to lead and serve," said Elizabeth Brady, Allstate's chief marketing, customer and communications officer. "We honor their unwavering commitment to community service."
From the 207 nominees, a distinguished selection committee of athletics directors, former athletes, and industry leaders will select a final 20-member team—10 female and 10 male student-athletes—to be announced on April 29. One student captain will also be named to represent the group. The full list of nominees is available [
