OMAHA, Neb. – The University of Sioux Falls women's tennis team opened its spring schedule Friday afternoon with an exhibition matchup against Nebraska-Omaha in Omaha, Neb., gaining valuable early-season experience against a strong Mavericks lineup.
With the match serving as the first competitive action of the spring, the Cougars used the exhibition to shake off rust, evaluate lineups, and get meaningful reps across both doubles and singles play. While the results favored Omaha, the afternoon provided an important measuring stick and a chance for USF to identify areas of growth as the team ramps up toward the heart of its spring slate.
USF saw action across all three doubles courts and six singles positions, continuing to build chemistry in new pairings and gain match toughness against quality opposition. The match marked a key first step in the spring season, setting the foundation for continued improvement moving forward.
