Clermont, Fla. – The University of Sioux Falls softball team put together a dominant day at The Spring Games on Monday, earning a pair of victories with a 5–0 shutout over Saint Anselm followed by a 3–0 win over Seton Hill.
Behind strong pitching performances and timely offense, the Cougars allowed zero runs across 14 innings while collecting 16 hits on the day. Sioux Falls moves to 4–8 on the season with the doubleheader sweep.
Game One: Sioux Falls 5, Saint Anselm 0
Sioux Falls controlled the opener from the circle and at the plate, building a lead early and never allowing Saint Anselm to generate offensive momentum.
The Cougars struck first in the second inning when Andie Suhai reached on a fielding error, allowing Sandra Ribich to score. USF broke the game open in the third inning as Ribich delivered a two-run single to center field before Morgan Linstad added an RBI single to push the lead to 4–0.
A sacrifice fly from Kyra Knudtson in the fourth extended the advantage to 5–0, which proved more than enough for Maddi Duncan.
Duncan was dominant in the circle, tossing a complete-game shutout while striking out 13 and allowing just two hits.

Game Two: Sioux Falls 3, Seton Hill 0
The Cougars followed with another strong showing against the Griffins, scoring early and relying on pitching to secure the shutout.
Sioux Falls jumped ahead in the first inning when Charlie Pryor tripled down the right-field line to score Andie Suhai before Knudtson drove in Pryor with a single up the middle to make it 2–0.
The Cougars added an insurance run in the fifth when Meghan Jochimsen doubled to left center to score Emma Kristof.
Lauryn Foudree started and delivered four scoreless innings, scattering five hits. Ava Mejia closed the final three innings to earn the save, allowing just two hits and keeping Seton Hill off the board.
