3/20/2026 12:00:00 PM

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The University of Sioux Falls Athletics Department proudly announces its 2026 Hall of Fame Class, honoring six individuals and one historic team whose accomplishments helped shape the legacy of Sioux Falls Athletics.

The 2026 class features Bria Barfnecht (Volleyball), Trevon Evans (Men's Basketball), Drew Guebert (Men's Basketball), Jagger Gran (Track & Field), Scott Greenman (Track & Field), and the 2001 USF Football Team. Collectively, this group represents national champions, All-Americans, record-holders, and a team that authored one of the most memorable postseason runs in school history.

Bria Barfnecht | Volleyball

USF's first-ever AVCA All-American, Bria Barfnecht ranks among the most dominant and efficient front-row players in program history. She finished her career ranked in the top-10 in 13 Division II categories, including fifth in kills (694), fourth in kills per set (2.32), fourth in attack percentage (.282), fifth in total blocks (232), and sixth in career points (830).

One of the most efficient hitters in program history, Barfnecht posted a career .282 attack percentage and recorded 27 career double-digit kill matches, including a career-best 21 kills against Wayne State on Sept. 14, 2017. She also tallied nine career double-doubles, showcasing her two-way impact as both an offensive and defensive force. During her standout 2017 All-American season, she compiled 243 kills while hitting .299 — the eighth-best single-season mark in USF history — to go along with 226 digs, 70 blocks, and 10 service aces. She earned NSIC Offensive Player of the Week honors after posting 34 kills and 36 digs against nationally ranked Wayne State and Augustana. A two-time Academic All-NSIC honoree, Barfnecht anchored the Cougar attack during USF's continued rise in the NSIC and remains one of the program's most complete players.

Trevon Evans | Men's Basketball

In just two seasons, Trevon Evans cemented himself as one of the most prolific scorers in USF history. The two-year transfer amassed 1,291 career points in only 59 games, ranking 15th all-time while averaging 21.9 points per game. His 680 points during the 2018-19 season stand as the fourth-highest single-season total in program history, and his 88 three-pointers that year rank fourth all-time as well.

Evans finished his career with 155 three-pointers, ranking ninth in program history, and led the team in assists both seasons, totaling 181. His 42-point performance against Northern State during the 2017-18 campaign remains the third-highest single-game total since 1990. During his two years in a Cougar uniform, USF compiled a 49-21 overall record and 27-17 mark in NSIC play, highlighted by Evans' dynamic scoring ability and leadership.

Drew Guebert | Men's Basketball

Few players have left a statistical footprint like Drew Guebert. He finished third in program history with 1,971 career points while averaging 16.29 points per game across 122 appearances, including 104 starts. He is tied for sixth in games played and holds the USF record for career three-pointers with 264, including a season-high 78 during the 2016-17 campaign.

A two-time NSIC All-Conference selection — earning First Team honors in 2018-19 and Second Team recognition in 2017-18 — Guebert was also a three-time NSIC All-Academic honoree and a three-time NSIC Player of the Week. He recorded 92 double-digit scoring games, including 43 performances of 20 or more points and six outings of 30-plus. Guebert ranks seventh in NSIC history in conference scoring with 1,423 points and became the first USF athlete to make 59 or more three-pointers in four consecutive seasons. He shot 45.3 percent from the field, 40.4 percent from beyond the arc, and 81.1 percent from the free throw line while totaling 609 career rebounds. Following his playing career, Guebert continued professionally in Spain and now serves as an assistant coach for USF Men's Basketball, continuing his impact on the program.

Jagger Gran | Track & Field

Jagger Gran established himself as one of the premier pole vaulters in NCAA Division II history and one of the most accomplished athletes in USF Track & Field history. He captured the 2015 NCAA Indoor Pole Vault National Championship and earned four All-American honors throughout his career. A four-time NSIC Conference Champion, Gran consistently delivered on both the conference and national stage.

His All-American finishes included an eighth-place outdoor finish in 2013, a sixth-place outdoor finish in 2014, a fourth-place NCAA finish in 2016, and a third-place NCAA Indoor finish in 2017. His record-setting performances helped establish USF as a nationally recognized pole vault powerhouse and elevated the program's reputation within Division II competition.

Scott Greenman | Track & Field

One of the most decorated pole vaulters in school history, Scott Greenman captured the 2017 NCAA Pole Vault National Championship and was named USF Male Athlete of the Year that same season. Greenman earned six All-American honors and two NSIC Conference titles during his career, consistently performing at the highest level.

He remains the NSIC Indoor Pole Vault record holder and owns both the USF indoor and outdoor school records. Greenman's championship season and sustained excellence represent one of the finest individual stretches in Cougar Athletics history.

2001 USF Football Team

The 2001 USF Football Team authored one of the most memorable seasons in program history, finishing as NAIA National Runner-Up — at the time the second-best finish in school history. The Cougars shared the GPAC Championship and suffered just one regular-season loss, demonstrating consistency and dominance throughout the year.

Their postseason run defined resilience. USF upset No. 2-ranked University of Mary in overtime in the opening round of the NAIA Playoffs, avenged its lone regular-season loss with a quarterfinal win over Concordia-Nebraska, and delivered a dominant semifinal victory at Benedictine to advance to the NAIA National Championship Game against Georgetown (KY). Along the way, the Cougars secured signature regular-season wins, including a 48–20 victory over No. 2 Northwestern Oklahoma State and a 61–6 triumph over rival Northwestern (IA).

The 2001 squad is remembered for its toughness, explosive offense, and a defining postseason journey that returned USF Football to the national stage.
