ST. CLOUD, Minn. – The University of Sioux Falls Women's Soccer team earned a point on the road Sunday afternoon, battling St. Cloud State to a 2-2 draw at Husky Stadium.
The Cougars built a 2-0 advantage late in the opening half behind the goals of Abby Flanagan and Lily Dahler before the Huskies responded with goals on either side of halftime. Sioux Falls weathered a second-half push from St. Cloud State to secure the draw and move to 3-3-3 overall and 1-2-3 in NSIC play.

How It Happened
Sioux Falls generated a pair of early opportunities as Lily Dahler put the Cougars' first shot on goal in the 15th minute before Addison Van Zee followed with another attempt on frame just over four minutes later.
The Cougars broke through in the 37th minute after earning a penalty kick. Abby Flanagan stepped to the spot and converted for The Coo, giving USF a 1-0 advantage.
Less than four minutes later, Sioux Falls doubled its lead. After Dahler forced a save and the Cougars earned back-to-back corner kicks, the sophomore found the back of the net in the 41st minute for her first goal of the season and a 2-0 USF lead.
St. Cloud State answered before halftime as Linsey Trapino scored in the 43rd minute to cut the Cougar advantage to 2-1 heading into the break. USF finished the opening 45 minutes with five shots, putting all four of its non-blocked attempts on goal.
The Huskies found the equalizer in the 55th minute when Reese Zediker scored off an assist from Trapino, leveling the match at 2-2. St. Cloud State continued to apply pressure throughout the second half, but the Cougar defense and goalkeeper Delani Daubman kept the Huskies off the board the rest of the way.
Daubman came up with three second-half saves, including stops in the 73rd, 74th and 88th minutes. Sioux Falls continued searching for a late winner as Van Zee recorded an attempt in the 89th minute before the Cougars earned a pair of corner kicks in the final minute, but neither side was able to break the deadlock.
