USF Women's Golf Sits in 6th at the Wildwood Lodge CU Invitational

Sioux Falls, SD - The University of Sioux Falls Women's golf team is in 6th place after the first round of Wildwood Lodge Concordia University Invitational, held at Tartan Park Golf Club in Lake Elmo, Minn.

The Lady Cougars are currently tied with both Missouri Western and Upper Iowa at +59 par 347. USF has an eight stroke lead on St. Cloud (355) and are just seven strokes behind Nebraska Omaha (340).

Southwest Minnesota State leads all team scores with a 314, while Concordia's Monica Elderlin is the individual leader through day one, where she shot a +1 par 71.

USF freshman Tavia Rutherford fired a team low +10 par 82, she is tied for 14th. Junior Kali Gottsleben finished second for the Cougars with a +15 par 87 and is tied for 25th.

Sophomore Davee Johnson completed her round in 88 strokes, tying for 29th, while freshman Kelsey Leif's round of 90 ties her for 38th overall.

Freshman Tia Nihart shot a +28 par 100, she is tied for 61st.

The Wildwood Lodge CU Invitational concludes tomorrow with a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start.
