BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Three members of the University of Sioux Falls Tennis Team, including juniors Alison Kauss, Joey Bosch and Stacey Beard, have been named honorable mention on the NSIC All-Conference team, which was released today by the league office.

“We are happy to hear that Alison (Kauss), Joey (Bosch) and Stacey (Beard) were honored for their play this season,” said Kevin Grebin, who is in his 10th year as head coach for the USF Tennis Team. “Our entire team played with big heart and a never quit attitude. We are excited about the future,” he said.
Kauss of St. Paul, Minn., finished the team with a 4-9 record at #1 singles, including 3-8 in the NSIC. Kauss closed the season with two straight victories, including a three set win against Minnesota State, Mankato (4-5 loss) in the NSIC Tournament. As for Bosch of Sioux Falls, S.D., she was 7-8 overall at #2 
singles, including a 5-4 mark in league play.
Bosch and Beard of Odon, Ind., finished with a 9-6 doubles record at #2 singles, including a 7-3 mark in the NSIC.
With direction from Grebin, the Cougars finished 9-8 overall and were seeded fifth at the league tournament, the best in the three years at NCAA DII and in the NSIC. USF's 7-4 record in the NSIC was its best mark at the NCAA DII level.
In the league announcement today, junior Jessa Richards of Augustana was named the NSIC Player of the Year while MSU Moorhead's Andrea Rognlien was NSIC Senior of the Year. Berkley Darr of Augustana was named the NSIC Freshman of the Year while seventh year head coach Marc Kurtz of Augustana earned the NSIC Coach of the Year honors.
