USF Athletics has another successful SID Shootout; winners announced

SIOUX FALLS – The seventh annual SID Shootout, which was hosted by the University of Sioux Falls Athletics Department on June 21, proved to be a success once again.
 
Named for long-time USF Administrator Ken "SID" Kortemeyer, the golf tournament, which was held at Spring Creek Golf Course in rural Harrisburg, S.D., served as a fundraiser for athletic scholarships at USF. 
 
"The event was again a success with those participating enjoying comradery and a day of fun on the course," said USF Director of Athletics Pam Gohl. "On behalf of USF, President Brett Bradfield and SID (Kortemeyer), I want to thank everyone who participated for coming out and supporting USF," she said.
 
As part of the fundraiser, USF unveiled its winners of the raffle. The winners included Anne Schmitz of Rochester, Minn., $2,000; Dawn Courey of Sioux City, Iowa, $500; Brad Hull of St. Louis, Mich., $100. Joel Sonnichsen was the winner of the Pizza Ranch Putting Contest and received a coupon for a pizza a month for one year.
 
The results of the tournament included –

1st Place: The Woodden Team –Score: 57 (*Won 1-hole card-off*)
2nd Place: Revival Animal Health- Score: 57 (*Lost 1-hole card-off*)
3rd Place: The Norberg Team – Score: 58 (*Won 2-hole card-off)
 
2nd Flight Winners:
1st Place: US Bank Team – Score: 61
2nd Place: The Schoeneman Team – Score: 62
3rd Place: The Koch Hazard Team – Score: 63 (*Won 3-hole card-off against 2 other teams)
