SIOUX FALLS - The University of Sioux Falls and University of Sioux Falls Athletics showed its thanks and appreciation for South Dakota's health care employees and essential workers during this COVID-19 pandemic by participating in the "LetItShine South Dakota campaign Friday night.
As reported by Bob Mercer on KELO Land TV, Governor Kristi Noem encouraged South Dakota citizens to turn lights on Friday night in a "Let It Shine" rally against COVID-19. The event included planes flying above South Dakota's 12 largest cities to record the scenes during the rally from 9:30-10 p.m.
In Mercer's story, Governor Noem was quoted saying the rally would be "real inspirational" and give people "a picture of hope, knowing we've been going through some challenging times but yet we can all come together and focus on the light that can drive out darkness."
