SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Jason Ferro has been named Assistant Athletic Director for Operations at the University of Sioux Falls Athletics, according to an announcement today by USF Director of Athletics

"We are excited to welcome Jason Ferro back to the University of Sioux Falls, where he has proven ability in sponsorship development, prospect mining, and game-day marketing while a graduate assistant," said USF Director of Athletics

In his role at USF, Ferro will both solicit new corporate sponsors and maintain relationships with current sponsors while monitoring sponsorship fulfillment. He will assist in sports information coverage, including working with the website, social media content development and handling various sports.
In addition, Ferro will craft game-day scripts, help coordinate game-day workers, assist in webcast production, create social media content and increase civic and community partnerships through marketing and promotional objectives. Ferro will work with the USF administrative staff to build an enjoyable game-day experience for students, boosters, faculty, and fans. He will strive to enhance the experience for student-athletes at USF through marketing and promotional measures. Ferro will also work to develop relationships with season ticket-holders and boosters.

During my time at USF, I learned to appreciate the USF community which has always been so welcoming and always focused on helping each other just like the family it is," said Ferro.
A native of Bristol, Rhode Island, Ferro most recently served as a graduate assistant for administration at USF Athletics in 2018-20. At USF, he helped mine prospective donors, undertook research development projects, collaborated with Institutional Advancement on athletic development, organized prospect data base, and aided in the roll out of the ETeamSponsor fundraising program. Ferro, who earned a Master of Business Administration degree from USF in 2020, also helped develop marketing materials, and assisted in game-day promotions and events.
Prior to working at USF Athletics, he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Nichols College (Dudley, Mass.) in May 2019. A resident assistant at Nichols College, he was named the Residence Life Staff Member of the Year in 2017-18.
He also has experience as a football operations intern at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Fla., in 2016. At Miami, he assisted with FBS Bowl Game preparations and Miami's yearly awards show.
