BURNSVILLE – The NSIC announced their player of the week selections earlier today with Nick Hernandez being named this week's NSIC Special Teams Player of the Week.
Hernandez went 3-for-3 on field goals this weekend splitting the uprights from the 20, 31 and 34 yard lines in USFs 50-6 win over Upper Iowa. Hernandez tacked on five extra points for the Cougars and tallied 14 points throughout the game. He currently is tied for first in the NSIC with 14 field goals made on the season.
Hernandez currently sits 8th in the USF record books for kick scoring with 151 career points as a sophomore. In the NSIC, Hernandez sits tied for second with 84 points on the season and first in kick scoring averaging 7.6 points a game.
