SIOUX FALLS – The University of Sioux Falls Cross Country teams are headed to Wayne, NE to compete in the NSIC Cross Country Championships held at Wayne Country Club. The Men's race will start at 11:00 a.m. followed by the women's at 12:00 p.m.

The men's 8K will have 14 teams competing this year while the women will have 16 teams competing in the 6K. USF will have 12 runners in both the men's and women's races in hopes to improve from a 3rd (men's) and 6th (women's) place performance last season.

Aaron Voigt, David Ecker, Ben Morrison and Jakob Hanna have been the top-4 runners for the men's team as Khot Juac, Morgan Gehl, Tianna Voigt and Jessica Lutmer have been the top runners for the women's team.

The Cougars are coming off a 1st (women's) and 2nd (men's) place finish at the Mount Marty Invite and look to continue their success this weekend as they make the trek to Wayne State. It should be noted that times have moved back an hour from the original 10:00 a.m. start time, due to frost being forecasted for Saturday morning.

Fans can follow the action via social media (#NSICCC) and on the NSIC Network. Admission to the championship is free.
