SIOUX FALLS – The (3-5) USF Women's Basketball team dropped their Thursday night contest with Wayne State 55-71.
WHAT HAPPENED
- Sioux Falls battled through 3 lead changes and 2 ties in the first quarter as they closed even at 14-14
- The Wildcats took the lead out of the break as the Cougars fell behind by as much as 12
- USF turned the ball over 9 times in the 3rd quarter
- The Cougars tried to battle back in the final period as they shot 43.8% from the field and 40% from 3-point range but were unable to close the gap on the scoreboard

- Sioux Falls shot well from downtown with a 47.4% rate as they sank 9 of 19 attempts
- The Cougars saw over half their points come off the bench (33 of 55)

Sioux Falls (3-5) will head down the street to take on rival Augustana for their first meeting of the season this Saturday, December 3rd. The Women tip-off at 3:30 followed by the Men at 5:30.
