SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Matt Cartwright of the University of Sioux Falls Men's Basketball Team has earned selection to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team for District 7. Cartwright, who is enrolled in the Master of Business Administration program at USF, now goes to the national ballot for Academic All-America consideration for 2021-22.

Matt Cartwright, the son of Jen and Bill Cartwright of Sioux Falls, S.D, is the leading scorer in the NSIC, All-NSIC honoree, and a guard who averages 19.4 ppg and 3.1 rebounds per game. He has 1,225 career points. Cartwright, who earned his first CoSIDA Academic All-District honors, has 11 20-point games at USF with 22 in his career with 55 career-double-digit scoring games.  Cartwright has four games of 30 points or more in his career and 15 times this season has led the Cougars in scoring. He has a 4.0 GPA in the Master of Business Administration Program.

The 2021-22 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
