BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Senior guard
Matt Cartwright of the University of Sioux Falls Men's Basketball Team has been named to the All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Second Team, according to an announcement today (Wednesday, Feb. 24) by the league office.

Cartwright is the 10th USF player named to the All-NSIC Team and earned his second All-NSIC honor (2018-19). In 2021-22, Cartwright finished the regular season second in the NSIC in scoring at 19.0 points per game. He ranked first in the NSIC with 3.0 made three pointers per game and was fourth in three-point percentage at 36.1 percent. He finished the season with 70 three-pointers (194 attempts), a mark that places him 10th all-time at USF.

Chris Johnson of the standout guard, who had 436 points this season. "He had a great year for us, but most impressive is that he was out for the last two seasons basically, and came back to play at an all-conference level. It was a very impressive performance this year," he said.
Enrolled in the Master of Business Administration program at USF, he is a candidate for CoSIDA Academic All-American honors. He has 1,283 career points. Cartwright, who earned his first CoSIDA Academic All-District honors, has 12 20-point games at USF with 23 in his career with 19 double-digit scoring games this year and 57 in his career. Cartwright has four games of 30 points or more in his career and 18 times this season has led the Cougars in scoring.
He led USF to seven league wins and and 11-14 overall mark in 2021-22.
