Sioux Falls, SD – With the season coming to a close, the University of Sioux Falls Swimming team hosts the NSIC Swimming & Diving Championship this week. The four-day event begins Wednesday, February 9
th at 10am.
The Cougars will look to break free from and surpass what has been the norm in past NSIC Swimming Championships, four-straight third place finishes. Last year, Minnesota State claimed the team title with St. Cloud in tow. That meet was held in Fargo, ND where
Paulina Ruelas claimed four top-5 finishes plus NSIC Freshman of the Year honors. The Cougars return their core from last year's conference championship with
Elizabeth Spaans,
Domenica Solano,
Ilinde du Plessis,
Valerie Childs,
Paulina Ruelas, and
Abigail Ford all on deck.
The meet kicks off on Wednesday at the Midco Aquatic Center in Sioux Falls, SD and will follow a similar schedule for all four days. Wednesday and Friday will have a morning session at 10am followed by an evening session at 5:30pm. Thursday and Saturday will have a morning session at 10am followed by a diving session at 1 PM, then an evening session at 5:30pm.
A live stream will be available for all sessions at NSICNetwork.com
