SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- Addyson Randt and Alison Thorfinnson of Glenwood, Minn., have signed with the University of Sioux Falls Tennis Team, according to an announcement today by USF Head Coach Kevin Grebin. 
 
Randt and Thorfinnson, who both played at Minnewaska High School in Glenwood, Minn., will continue their academic and athletic careers at USF. 
 
"I so very honored and excited to have Alissa and Addyson coming to USF Tennis this fall. They will bring a wealth of ability and talent to a young , strong team," said Grebin, noting they will continue a family bond on the USF Tennis Team as both are cousins. In fact, Alissa is the younger sister to Joelle and Danielle Thorfinnson, who are both members of the USF squad. Joelle Thorfinnson is a senior and will graduate but Danielle will get to play at USF with another sister and a cousin. Annika Randt is a cousin to the Thorfinnsons.  
 
"I am looking so forward to them playing here. It is an amazing family connection on our team," he said. 
 
Thorfinnson, who plans to major in exercise science at USF, played No. 1 singles and doubles at Minnewaska High School in Glenwood, Minn. She was 14-6 as a senior in singles and 6-1 in doubles. A daughter of Pete and Renne Thorfinnson, she was named All-West Central Conference for five years and part of a conference-winning team six times with four trips to the state tournament.  
 
Randt, who plans to study business administration at USF, is the daughter  of Brad and Michal Randt. A two-sport standout in tennis and basketball, she played No. 2 singles in tennis and point guard in basketball. She was All-West Central Conference twice in 2020-21 and 2021-22 and honorable mention as a sophomore. She earned Academic All-Conference honors four straight years. She was also a member of the conference winning team with Thorfinnson.
