BISMARCK – The University of Sioux Falls women's basketball team fell to the University of Mary Marauders, 71-59, earlier today.
WHAT HAPPENED
· The Cougars started off slow today, but came alive in the second and third quarters outscoring the Marauders 36-31.
· Sioux Falls falls to 4-12 overall on the season and 1-9 in conference play.
SIOUX FALLS LEADERS
· Two Cougars saw career highs today with Olivia Gamoke dropping 19 points and Madison Wuebben adding 17 of her own.
· Lauren Sanders and Brecli Honner each pulled down five rebounds for the Cougars combining for 10 of USFs 29 on the day.
· Honner, Wuebben and Gamoke each dished out three assists on the day.
TEAM STATISTICS
· Sioux Falls went 21-51 from the field today while going 10-14 from the free throw line and 7-13 from beyond the arch.
· The Cougars picked up 12 points after forcing the Marauders to eight turnovers.
UP NEXT
The Cougars return home to host Northern State and Minnesota State – Moorhead next weekend. On Friday, the women's game will tip-off at 5:30 p.m. followed by the men's game at 7:30 p.m.
