SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Following this past weekend's performances, USF Athletics is pleased to announce Addison Westermeyer and Connor Aldrich as this week's USF Athletes of the Week.

Westermeyer was named this week's Female Athlete of the Week following a solid performance this past weekend for the Cougar Soccer team. Westermeyer scored 1 of the 3 goals that were scored by the Coo on Sunday against Crookston while recording four shots and three on goal. She has been a regular for Coach Domino to rotate in to give some fresh energy on the pitch. She has played in every game so far this year with her only start coming Sunday against Minnesota Crookston.

Throughout her career, Westermeyer has been a valued spark off the bench. She has 41 games played in her career with 16 shots. Addison has started 9 games and has scored 3 goals for a total of 6 points throughout her career.

Aldrich has earned Male Athlete of the Week honors after leading USF Football to a 7-0 shutout victory at home against Minot State this past weekend. Connor had 5 total tackles with 4 of those being solo. He also had a tackle for loss and a forced fumble in the 2nd quarter. The highlight of Conner's day was an interception early in the 3rd quarter that he returned for 40 yards.

After three games this season, Aldrich has tallied 12 total tackles this year with only two of those being assists. He has 1 fumble forced and 1 recovered as well as 1 pass break up on this new season.
