Athletes of the Week - Juac/Morrison

Sioux Falls Athletics Announce Juac and Morrison as USF Athletes of the Week

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The 2023-24 season has officially begun as of this past weekend and USF Athletics is proud to announce this week's student-athletes of the week in cross country runner Khot Juac and Ben Morrison.

USF Female Athlete of the Week Khot Juac, originally from the Sioux Falls area, placed 2nd out of 358 runners at the Augustana Twilight this past weekend with a career best time of 17:32.06 in the 5K. As the highest non-DI placer, Juac recorded the highest finish for a USF runner at this event. Juac helped lead Sioux Falls to an eighth place team finish of the 29 teams that competed.

Throughout her career thus far, the NCAA National Qualifier has been named to the NCAA All-Region team as well as the NSIC All-Conference squad. Juac is a two-time NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence member as well as a two-time D2 ADA Academic Achievement recipient while also picking up U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic honors.

The USF Male Athlete of the Week is Ben Morrison, a junior from Boseman, Montana. Morrison led the pack with a 15th place finish out of 358 runners this weekend at the Augustana Twilight while bringing in a career best time of 19:56:03 in the 4 mile run.

Morrison has been named to the D2 ADA Academic Achievement list as well as to the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence twice throughout his career while also earning USTFCCCA All-Academic honors. 

Throughout the 2023-24 season, USF Athletics will announce their weekly Male and Female Athletes of the Week based on their performances from the week prior.
