SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The University of Sioux Falls Volleyball team hosted No. 7 Wayne State tonight fallingl 3-0 (25-27, 13-25, 16-25) inside the Stewart Center.
With the setback, the Cougars move to 10-8 overall and 5-5 in NSIC play, while the Wildcats improved to 16-3 (9-1 NSIC).
Match Summary
The Cougars came out swinging in the opening frame, pushing the nationally ranked Wildcats deep into extra points before narrowly dropping the set 27-25. USF's offense connected for 15 kills and a .314 hitting percentage in the set, led by the front-row pair of Sadie Voss and Haley Wolfe. Despite the early momentum, Wayne State responded with a .533 clip in the second and .429 in the third to close out the match in straight sets.

As a team, USF hit .255 with 35 kills, five service aces and four total blocks, while Wayne State posted a .446 attack percentage behind 54 kills.
