FREMONT, Neb. – The University of Sioux Falls Women's Wrestling team sent a small group of competitors south to Nebraska on Saturday to compete at the Warrior Open, facing a deep regional field with limited numbers. Despite the short roster, the Cougars produced several solid individual performances, highlighted by a fourth-place finish from Dani Ringstmeyer and multiple wrestlers earning key victories as the postseason approaches.
USF wrestlers were tested with repeat matchups, long brackets, and high-level opponents throughout the day. Several Cougars wrestled multiple matches against familiar regional foes, using the open as another opportunity to sharpen execution and build match endurance.
Ringstmeyer paced the group with a strong placement effort, while Brinley Green-Griffin, Johanna Steinlicht, Rachel Berger, Aliyah Villarreal, and Kylie Hulse each picked up wins across their respective brackets. With one final open remaining before regional competition, the Cougars continued to build momentum and valuable mat experience.
