MINOT, N.D. – The University of Sioux Falls men's wrestling team secured a 31–14 dual victory over Minot State Beavers today. The Cougars won seven of ten bouts, collecting two falls, a technical fall, two major decisions, and two decisions to earn the team win.
USF set the tone immediately at 125 pounds as Vinny Mayberry pinned Dylan McDonald in 1:48 to give the Cougars an early 6–0 lead. Minot State answered at 133 with a 12–6 decision, but USF quickly regained control at 141. Jordon Oehme edged Ethan Wonser in a tight 4–3 decision to swing momentum back to The Coo.
At 149 pounds, Sir Brandon Watts delivered the first bonus-point surge of the night, earning an 18–1 technical fall in 3:28. Cooper Sanders followed at 157 with a 6–3 decision before Luke Swanson added six more team points at 165 with a 4:21 fall.
Minot State picked up a technical fall at 174 and later received six points via forfeit at 197, but the Cougars continued to respond in key moments. Lincoln Fink recorded a 12–3 major decision at 184, and Stetson Davis capped the dual at heavyweight with a strong 10–2 major decision to secure the 31–14 final.
