BURNSVILLE, Minn. — For the second time this season, University of Sioux Falls guard Brogan Madson has been named NSIC South Player of the Week after a historic scoring weekend that powered the Cougars in a conference split.

Madson averaged an NSIC-best 38.0 points per game while adding nine assists, nine rebounds, and five steals across two contests. He shot a blistering 60.5 percent from the field (23-of-38), showcasing both efficiency and volume in one of the most explosive individual stretches in the league this season.

The freshman guard delivered a career night in an overtime win over Wayne State Wildcats, erupting for a career-high 45 points to go along with six assists and two steals. Madson consistently attacked downhill, finished through contact, and delivered in the extra session to secure the victory.

He followed that performance with 31 points in 38 minutes against rival Augustana Vikings, adding seven rebounds, five assists, and three steals. Even in a tightly contested matchup, Madson controlled the pace offensively and continued to impact the game on both ends of the floor.

Across the weekend, he accounted for 76 total points and filled every column of the stat sheet, reinforcing his role as one of the premier guards in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. The award marks his second NSIC Player of the Week recognition this season, previously earning the honor on January 6, 2026.

Head coach Chris Johnson praised Madson's continued development and dominant stretch of play.

"Brogan continues to keep getting better and better and last week he had a couple special performances," Johnson said. "He earned it and deserves it."

With another conference accolade to his name, Madson continues to elevate both his game and the Cougars as the season pushes into postseason play.
