NEW ORLEANS – The University of Sioux Falls Men's Cross Country Team, which had a strong performance with a sixth place team finish at the Lewis College Conference Crossover Meet in
Romeoville, Ill., on Saturday, Oct 12, has moved up five spots to No. 15 in the United States Track and Field/Cross Country Coaches Association Week 5 Coaches Poll, which was released Wednesday (Oct. 16).
After USF's performance last weekend (Oct. 12), they moved up to No. 15 from No. 20 and increased their point total from 49 to 84.
USF was short-handed and finished fourth in the team standings at the
Augustana Invitational on Sept. 6. USF, which is ranked No. 4 in the Central Region, finished third at the Roy
Griak Invite but had a third straight individual champion in senior

Griak, Brown was named the
NSIC Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week for a second time in his career. Last weekend, the Cougars were led by
Steven Brown and

Brown finished third and again earned the NSIC Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week. He now has earned the honor three times in his career. Phillips placed ninth as USF had the top two NSIC finishers in the race. USF, which will next compete at the NSIC Championships in Wayne, Neb., on Oct. 26, has appeared in all six (counting preseason)
