COLLEGEVILLE, MINN. - USF Men's Wrestling competed in the Haws/Elton 4-Team Rumble today in a round robin format held at Saint Johns University. The Cougars had 27 total wins on the day along with three first place finishes led by Jagger Tyler at 157-pounds, Jayden Coulter at 165-pounds and Daevon Vereen at 184-pounds.

Tyler opened round one with a 2:04 pin over Nicholas Akeny of Concordia-Moorhead followed by another pin in round two at 1:17 over Crown Htoo of Minnesota North-Itasca. Round three resulted in an 8-2 decision over teammate Lane Fink followed by a bye in round four. Tyler closed out the day 4-0 with a 15-5 major decision over Alexander McPhee of Concordia-Moorhead to move to 8-0 on the year.

Coulter went 3-0 with three pins on the day. Opening round one, Jayden pinned Jon Gettel of Saint Johns in 3:09 followed by a 1:20 pin over Bryson Larrabee. Coulter claimed the 165-pound title with a 0:26 pin over Logan Thorsten of Saint Johns and sits 6-2 on the season.

Vereen recorded three pins and a decision to advance to 5-2 on the year. In round one, Daevon landed a 6:08 pin over Jacob Vaughan of Saint Johns followed by a 10-5 decision in round two over Concordia-Moorhead's Nathaniel Kisgen. Vereen defeated Bryce Commerford of Saint Johns with a 6:23 pin and sealed the deal with a 0:34 pin over Tucker Mugg of Minnesota North-Itasca.

The Cougars will be back in action next weekend as they head to the Augsburg Invite in Minneapolis, Minnesota on Saturday, November 18. Sioux Falls will open up their conference season at home on December 1 at 7pm against Northern State.
