SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Sioux Falls soccer's head coach Brittany Domino inks transfer Julia Bowman and incoming freshman Katie Spicer for 2023 Squad.

Julia Bowman, Attacking Midfielder, Woodbury, Minn. / Regis University

Julia joins the Coo following a season at Regis University in Denver, Colorado. Bowman started in one-of-nine games for the Rangers while recording 203 minutes on the season. Prior to Regis, she was a three-year letter winner at Woodbury High School where she tallied 20 assists in just two seasons. Bowman was named Rookie of the Year following her sophomore campaign and was named a team captain and MVP during her junior season. Bowman also played for the Salvo Soccer Club where she was a starter and team captain while leading her team to two National Cup Championships. Julia is the daughter of Susan and Brad Bowman and looks to pursue a degree in business and accounting while at USF.

"Julia transferred in at semester and had an immediate impact on our program. She is a well-rounded attacking midfielder that doesn't have a weakness in her game. She is very attacking minded which has helped open the game up for our other attacking players up front. She plays with a lot of joy which is contagious. She has been a perfect fit with our program, and we are excited to see the impact she has this fall."

Katie Spicer, Outside Back/Forward, Sioux Falls, S.D. / Roosevelt High School

Katie is staying close to home as she joins USF this fall on the soccer field. Spicer was a three sport athlete for the Rough Riders of Roosevelt High School here in Sioux Falls and was a two-time All-State athlete in soccer while also picking up all-conference honors. Spicer also plays for the Dakota Alliance Soccer Club. Katie is the daughter of Amber and Chad Spicer and looks to pursue her degree in exercise science this fall.

"We are very excited about the addition of Katie to our roster. We love when local talent wants to be a part of our program. Katie is an extremely athletic defender that will do great against the talented forwards in our league. Even more exciting is that Katie is a tremendous teammate. She pours a lot of her knowledge and heart into her teammates which is exactly the type of player we look to add to our program. She will be a great addition this fall"
