SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - USF Men's Wrestling fell 29-11 against Minot State tonight moving to 2-7 on the season.
Pauly Garcia opened the night at 125-pounds with a 6-5 decision over Logen Fischer to advance to 10-5 on the year and 2-2 against NSIC opponents.
At 133-pounds, No. 16 Beau Klingensmith fell to No. 13 Wayne Joint in a 6-2 decision moving to 11-5 on the season and 1-3 against NSIC opponents.
Beau Beavers tech. falled Evan Vieira, 15-0, in 2:36 at 141-pounds to advance to 6-7 overall and 1-2 in NSIC matchups.
Cooper Sanders fell to Ryan Hrcka at 149-pounds in a 10-3 decision. Sanders sits 7-11 on the year and 0-4 against NSIC opponents.
At 157-pounds, Jagger Tyler fell to No. 20 Kelby Armstrong in an 11-1 major decision. Tyler moves to 14-7 this season and 0-4 in NSIC matchups.
Lincoln Fink fell to No. 12 Brendan Barnes at 165-pounds in a 16-6 major decision. Fink moves to 8-10 on the season and 0-3 against NSIC opponents.
At 174-pounds, Ashtin Johnson picked up a 6-4 decision over Kale Farrington to move to 8-9 on the year. Johnson is now 1-3 in NSIC matchups.
At 184-pounds, Tim Lacina fell in a 14-4 major decision to Cayden White. Lacina is now 5-10 overall and 0-2 against NSIC opponents.
Isaiah Laguna fell to No. 20 Cannon Potts in a 16-0 tech. fall at 197-pounds to move to 6-7 on the year and 1-2 in NSIC settings.
Rocky Wiedman Jr. closed out the night at 285-pounds falling to No. 10 Jake Swirple in a 5:32 fall and sits 5-8 overall. Wiedman Jr. is 5-8 overall and 0-2 in NSIC matchups.
The Cougars will take on UMary tomorrow afternoon before returning home on February 1 to host No. 4 Augustana at 7pm for another NSIC matchup.
