Five Cougars Earn CSC Academic All-District® Honors

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Five standout student-athletes from the University of Sioux Falls Women's Soccer team have been named to the prestigious 2024-25 Academic All-District® Team, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC). This honor recognizes their exemplary performances on the field and in the classroom, showcasing their dedication to both athletic and academic excellence.

To qualify for Academic All-District® honors, student-athletes must meet rigorous eligibility criteria. Undergraduate student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale). Additionally, student-athletes must have competed in 90% of their team's matches or started in at least 66% of them.

Caroline Titze, Mariah Siem, Taylor Wit, Alivia Tindall, and Ellie Ripperda represent the Cougars on this year's Academic All-District® list. Their selection highlights the commitment of USF student-athletes to achieving high standards both in competition and in their studies.

About the Honorees

  • Caroline Titze: A senior goalkeeper, Titze started 13 games this season, playing 1,035 minutes in goal. She recorded 79 saves with a .782 save percentage and maintained a 1.91 goals-against average. Off the field, Titze is pursuing majors in Psychology, Social Work, Social Science, and History.
  • Mariah Siem: A sophomore forward, Siem appeared in 18 matches this season, starting 17. She logged 1,077 minutes on the field, scored one goal, and tallied two points, showing her offensive capabilities with 14 shots, including seven on goal. Off the field, Siem is pursuing majors in Health Administration and Business.
  • Taylor Wit: A junior midfielder, Wit made 17 appearances with 11 starts, playing 1,032 minutes. She contributed one assist and kept the Cougar midfield steady throughout the season. Academically, Wit is focused on Exercise Science as she prepares for a future in the health and sports fields.
  • Alivia Tindall: A junior defender, Tindall anchored the backline with 18 starts in as many matches. She led the team in minutes played, with 1,608, helping the Cougars maintain defensive composure. Tindall is majoring in Sports Media and Marketing.
  • Ellie Ripperda: A senior defender, Ripperda featured in 18 matches with 12 starts, logging 759 minutes. Her presence on defense provided reliability and experience for the Cougars' backline. Off the field, Ripperda is pursuing a degree in Elementary Education, preparing for a career in teaching.
