PITTSBURG, KAN. – Three Cougars entered the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships this weekend with two of them earning 2
nd Team All-American recognition.
Khot Juac continued her incredible year with a second trip to an NCAA Championship. This time she competed in the Mile Run where she took 11
th place with a PR and School Record of 4:48.63. The placement made her the Cougars first 2
nd Team All American of the Championships.
Tyler Hiatt finished the Shot Put with a 16.33m throw to place him 16
th.
Emily Swanson also heads home with 2
nd Team All American honors after placing 9
th in the Women's Pentathlon. Her 3790 points came with finishes of 5
th in the 60m Hurdles, 6
th in the High Jump, 9
th in the Shot Put, 12
th in the Long Jump, and 5
th in the 800m. She also competed in the non-Pentathlon High Jump event and placed 14
th.
Outdoor season will start up for the Cougars on March 28
th with a trip to Wayne, Nebraska for the Wayne State Wildcat Outdoor Classic.
