BURNSVILLE, MINN. – One incredible throw by Baumberger gives the Cougars back-to-back NSIC Field Athletes of the Week.
Last week
Tyler Hiatt took home NSIC Field Athlete of the Week honors. This week
Olivia Baumberger made it two in a row for the Cougars with her performance in the Javelin.
At the Bryan Clay Invitational Baumberger launched the javelin 48.44m (158' 11") to break her own school record. The mark placed 2
nd at the event (besting all DII competitors) and 2
nd in DII this year. The throw was 2 inches farther than her record breaking throw last year and stands as only one of two marks in the USF top-10 to eclipse 150'.
The Cougars compete next at the Northwestern Red Raider open this weekend.
