BURNSVILLE, MN –
Tyler Hiatt continues his dominance in the Shot Put as he earns NSIC Field Athlete of the Week honors.
Hiatt entered the Shot Put at the USD Early Bird Meet this weekend along with 55 other competitors from the NSIC, NAIA, and Division I. Only two cracked the 17 meter mark with Wade Baker of Waldorf landing at 17.05m and Hiatt soaring to 17.27m. The juniors mark gives him a national provisional mark in the event and the 13
th best in DII this season.
The event victory continues Hiatt's run of dominance in the Shot Put which includes his National Championship berth in the Indoor season as well as his victory in the event during last years NSIC Outdoor Championships. He also currently owns the USF record in the Shot Put by a significant margin.
The Cougars will continue the Outdoor season with a trip to the Minnesota State Open this weekend.
