NEW ORLEANS, LA – The USTFCCCA released the 2024 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field All-Region honors this past Friday with six Cougars making the list.
Top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top-3 ranked relay team.
The Men's team earned two with
Tyler Hiatt getting it from his performance in the Shot Put and
Caleb Rivera being named for the 1500 Meter Run. This is Tyler's second All-Region honor with his first coming after the 2021-22 season.
The Women's team tallied four honors.
Olivia Baumberger in the Javelin,
Khot Juac in the 1500 Meter Run,
Emily Swanson in the Heptathlon and
Kamry Lindsey in the Discus.
Kamry Lindsey earns her second honor with the first coming after the 2021-22 season.
Olivia Baumberger makes it back-to-back honors after being recognized for her performance in the Javelin last year.
Khot Juac doubled up last year with recognition in both the 1500m and 5000m, this makes it back-to-back years with the award in the 1500m for her.
Five of these six will also be heading to the NCAA Championships this weekend:
Tyler Hiatt – Shot Put,
Kamry Lindsey – Discus,
Olivia Baumberger – Javelin,
Emily Swanson – Heptathlon & High Jump, and
Khot Juac – 1500m.
