EMPORIA, KANSAS – The first day of the 2024 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships took place today with three Cougars competing.
Emily Swanson opened USF's day with the first four events of the Heptathlon. She placed 6
th in the 100m Hurdles, 6
th in the High Jump, 9
th in the Shot Put, and 15
th in the 200m. In total she scored 3223 points and heads into the final three events in 8
th place.
Khot Juac crossed the finish in the 1500m prelims in 19
th with a time of 4:43.55. Also in a prelim was
Tamia Horton who finished in 11.63 seconds and mirrored Khot's 19
th place finish.
Tomorrow the Cougars will see
Emily Swanson complete the Heptathlon with a start time of 10:30am while
Kamry Lindsey gets a chance at history in the Discus Throw at 4:30pm.
