SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - USF Football and head coach Jim Glogowski are excited to announce the addition of transfers Kendis Ledbetter and Beau Giblin.
"I'm excited to welcome home some Sioux Falls natives," stated Glogowski. "These two have what it takes to make the Cougar Defense even better and we are stoked to welcome them to our program."
Ledbetter, a defensive lineman, joins the Coo following a season at Concordia-St. Paul where he recorded 42 tackles for the Bears with 20 solo and 22 assisted in 11 games played. He tallied 5.5 tackles for a loss of 37 yards with 3.5 sacks for a loss of 28 yards along with a forced fumble. Prior to CSP, Ledbetter spent a season with the University of North Dakota Fighting Hawks when the reached the FCS playoffs in 2022.
Ledbetter graduated from Washington High School and was a three-sport athlete in football, basketball and track & field. He was named a team captain as well as an All-Conference athlete and Midco Sports top player to watch in 2021. In 2022, Prep Redzone Dakotas named him the top defensive lineman in the 2022 class.
Giblin, a safety, returns to Sioux Falls after spending his freshman season at South Dakota State as a member of the FCS Championship program. Prior to SDSU, Giblin led the defense at Jefferson High School while helping lead the Cavaliers to a state championship in 2022. The two-time team captain recorded 60 tackles and five interceptions for the Cavs while earning All-State honors and being named to the Sioux Falls Argus Leader Elite 45.
