MANKATO, MN – The first day of the NSIC Track & Field Championships kicked off today with
Emily Swanson opening for the Coo.
Swanson competed in 4 of the heptathlon events taking 1
st in the 100m Hurdles, 6
th in the 200m, 2
nd in the High Jump and 4
th in the Shot Put.
She was the only Cougar to compete today as the Championships kicked off. She currently sits in 2
nd place behind Concordia St. Paul's Arika Harbo by a score of 3127 – 3269.
The remaining heptathlon events will continue tomorrow morning as well as the rest of the Championships' slate.
