VERMILLION, S.D. - The USF track and field team put up an impressive performance at the USD Alumni Meet today. Competing against strong NCAA DI programs, the Cougars demonstrated their talent and grit across multiple events with two broken record performances and three national provisional marks.
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

Maddie Swanson dominated the 3000-meter run, clinching first place with a stellar time of 10:22.40. Teammates Mallory Salazar and Eva Studt also delivered solid performances, finishing third and fifth, respectively.
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

In the field events, Tyler Hiatt was a standout performer, winning both the shot put at 60' 2.5" (18.35m) and weight throw at 62' 6" (19.05m). Hiatt set two school records while recording two national provisional marks while sitting 2nd in the country in the shot put and 10th in the weight throw.
