BURNSVILLE, Minn. — The University of Sioux Falls proved once again that Cougars excel in more than just competition.

Sixty-seven USF student-athletes earned spots on the 2025 NSIC Fall All-Academic Teams, the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference announced today. The total included 37 Cougars achieving NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence status—an honor reserved for student-athletes maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.60 or higher.

The recognition swept across all five fall sports: men's and women's cross country, football, women's soccer, and volleyball. Every honoree has reached sophomore academic and athletic standing and completed at least one full academic year at USF.

Women's soccer dominated the honors list with 18 selections, including an impressive 15 on the Team of Excellence. Football added 25 honorees to the mix, while volleyball (11), men's cross country (8), and women's cross country (5) contributed to the academic sweep.

"Our All-Academic award winners continue to set the standard for what it means to be a Cougar student-athlete." said Athletic Director Jon Hart. "Their outcomes in the classroom showcase their dedication, discipline, and collaboration with our supportive faculty. They are tremendous representatives of our programs and the entire USF community."

The announcement underscores a simple truth: at USF, winning happens everywhere.
