BURNSVILLE, MINN. – University of Sioux Falls men's basketball standout, Creighton Morisch, was recognized with a spot on the NSIC Shining 5 for his outstanding performances during the weekend, where he showcased an impressive all-around game.
In a thrilling 108-106 double-overtime loss to Concordia-St. Paul, Morisch made history by recording the first triple-double of the season in NSIC play, finishing with 18 points, 20 rebounds, 10 assists, and 3 blocks. His performance was a display of sheer determination and versatility.
Morisch followed that up with another remarkable performance against Minnesota State, putting up 16 points on a 6-of-10 shooting clip, while hauling in 17 rebounds. He also blocked a season-high five shots in a narrow 75-73 loss, further underlining his presence on both ends of the court.
For the weekend, Morisch finished an impressive 13-of-25 (52%) from the field and 3-of-4 (75%) from beyond the arc, proving his efficiency and well-rounded skill set. With a combined average of 18 points, 18.5 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3.5 blocks per game, Morisch continues to be one of the most dominant players in the NSIC.
His recent performances are part of a growing trend, as he has proven to be an essential asset to the Cougars, both offensively and defensively. The Cougars will be looking to Morisch to continue his stellar play as they move forward in the NSIC schedule. His ability to control the game on both ends of the floor makes him a key player to watch in the coming weeks.
NSIC Shining 5 honors are awarded to the top five players across the conference for their exceptional performances during a given week, and Morisch's inclusion reflects his tremendous growth and consistency this season.
