MANKATO, MINN./WAYNE, NEB. - The University of Sioux Falls Track & Field team sent a few athletes to compete in the Ted Nelsen Classic at Minnesota State and the Wildcat Indoor Classic at Wayne State this weekend. The Cougars were highlighted by a school record performance by Tyler Hiatt and six national provisional marks.

Tyler Hiatt – Hiatt delivered yet another dominant performance, securing 1st place in the weight throw with a school record throw of 19.82m (65-00.50) at the Wildcat Indoor Classic, landing himself 7th in all of NCAA DII in that event. Hiatt added another 1st place finish in the shot put with a throw of 17.77m (58-03.75) and hit national provisional marks in both the weight throw and the shot put.
- Micade Shumway – Shumway highlighted a 3rd place finish in the 5000-meter run with a time of 15:45.76 at the Ted Nelsen Classic.
