WAYNE, NEBRASKA- The University of Sioux Falls Track & Field team opened their 2025 outdoor season at the Wayne State Wildcat Classic. The Cougars had a strong outing with seven first place finishes, several other top finishes and two national provisional marks by Tamia Horton and Delanie Van Driel.
Women's Highlights
- Dani Minsaas- Minsaas finished second in the high jump with a jump of 1.66m (5-05.25).Â
- Olivia Baumberger- Baumberger picked up a first place finish for the Coo in the Javelin Throw, at 40.31m (132-03). In addition, she placed 16th in the Hammer Throw at 43.77 (143-07).
- Tamia Horton- Horton places first in the 100m Dash with a time of 11.64, recording a national provisional mark. Tamia sits #8 in the country in the 100m Dash.Â
- Delanie Van Driel- Van Driel places fourth in the discus throw with a throw of 45.50m (149-03.00), recording a national provisional mark. Delanie sits #15 in the country in the discus throw.Â
- Abbi Webb- Webb picked up a first place finish for the Coo in the long jump, jumping 5.80m (19-00.50).Â
- McKenna Comstock- Comstock added another first place finish in pole vault, with a height of 3.65m (11-11.75).
- Ella Steussy- Stuessy claims the triple jump title with a jump of 11.08m (36-04.25).Â
- Maddie Swanson- Swanson finished second in the 1500m with a time of 5:03.04.
- Mackenzie Everson- Everson places second in the 400m clocking a time of 59.33. Additionally, she placed fourth in the 200m, recording a time of 25.70.Â
- Chloe Aanenson- Aanenson finished second in the 800m with a time of 2:30.42.Â
- Olivia Babler- Babler picks up a second place finish in the 5000m with a time of 21:44.21.
Men's Highlights
- Jonny Cheney- Cheney picks up a second place finish in the 100mH with a time of 15.55. Jonny also finished second in the 400mH with a time of 56.80.In addition, he competed in the javelin throw, placing 15th with a throw of 31.21m.Â
- Kade Bullion- Bullion took the top spot in the 3000m steeple with a time of 10:16.51.
- Miles Olofson- Olofson picks up a second place finish in the 1500m with a time of 4:15.78.Â
- Benjamin Morrison- Morrison places second in the 800m with a time of 2:00.35.
- Denver Decker- Decker picks up another first place finish for the Cougars in the 400mH with a time of 54.24.
- Jay Rhodes- Rhodes places third in the triple jump with a jump of 12.74m. Additionally, he placed fifth in the long jump, recording a jump of 6.38m.Â
- 4x400m Relay- The USF relay team consisting of Bryson Canton, Ethan Schwankl, Miles Olofson and Benjamin Morrison finished second in the 4x400m relay, recording a time of 3:27.05.Â
